Rode Spring Lake trails for the first time. Some observations: Park at the State fish boat launch - but you will need a permit to park there. A few spots to park at the trail head which is just opposite the launch, but wonder about security. Trai...

Rode from the main TH almost all the way up to the Lava Caves. Trail is entirely rideable; the only section of hike-a-bike starts about 2.5 miles in and ends at about the 3 mile mark and it is only because of the steepness of the grade. There are min...

Dry and awesome! The trails are in good shape (they get really wet in the winter) but they are completely dry right now. As always at Banner, watch out for horses and walkers. Throw your iPod on and go have fun! Banner is perfect if you want a carefr...

This dry weather has resulted in a particularly fast and furious season for Tiger; no mud anywhere.  Soo good, just keep hitting the "replay" button on it.

We did the "Shuttle" option!  Did the usual route to the lake but mixed it up on the way back.  Here is a quick map of the route we took from the lake to exit 42. It is a very straight forward ride with no real chance to get lost. From the...

Starting to get a little loose in places; no moisture anywhere.

I did a point to point ride from Haney Meadows and Mt. Lillian up to Tronsen Ridge and down to Red Hill trail and then onto Red Hill Spur to Devils Gulch.  I started around 1:00 and it was roughly 78-80° at Haney Meadows; much nicer th...

Sometimes you just need a shift-free hammerfest in the solitude of the back yard forest. Today was one of those days...  Soaring Eagle delivered the stress-relief I was after! Trails are prime, hardly anybody in there, and weather is perfect.

Was unsure how Preston would be flowing with the recent rains, but pleasantly surprised!  A teeny bit slick on the summit trail, but otherwise perfect tack and no mud anywhere.  Rode everything except Iverson.

Rode the "Enduro Special" loop - Iverson CW, climb the road to Summit, Summit to Preston, climb crossover road to Fully Rigid, Fully Rigid to Silent Swamp, repeat the road to Fully Rigid, Fully Rigid to Joyride to NW Timber.  And after all that,...

One very minor snow patch to walk over(25 feet) - will probably be gone in a few days.  Trail is all rideable. The Corral Pass road is ungated and snowfree.

No mud, water anywhere. But new home construction took out southwest entrance.

The trail is all dry and just turning dusty so grab it before it all turns into a sand pool. In the forested sections, it was perfect tacky and not wet at all. The vistas, of course, were awesome mainly thanks to the bluebird day we had. The fire roa...

A few trails closed for repairs, but what's open is flowing greased weasel speed.

They are actively logging off a side road about 2 or 3 miles up the Suntop road.  Be on the lookout for trucks but probably not an issue on weekends We did not go to the lookout so I have no info about the upper trail piece. Still 5-7 easy to s...

Wow, Evergreen really created a gem - it's still a little rough around the edges (literally ;-) but all-in-all a nice mix of single track and double track with some forest road mixed in for a good measure. This was my first time riding the phase 3 po...

It will be hard to top this ride at Tiger - maybe the best ever for me. Perfect weather, perfect dirt, Preston was DRY (look at the pic!), not one other rider seen the whole time, and some face-time with Rainier at the summit. I found my new favorit...

It's in great shape.  Getting a little brushy, but the gnomes will take care of that soon.  Otherwise everything is rolling fine!

Decided I didn't want to fight I-90 traffic today so I ended up at CV for a few hours instead. Funner was riding nice, though starting to get a bit overgrown near the bridge and up top. Cyclops was really nice until until the bottom where it too was...

If you're a clean-bike freak (like me), you'll want to bring a fender (unlike me) or give it a few days. Mostly awesome, but a lot of speed-sapping puddles.
