Dirt Camps

Parents often wish to carpool out to camp with other parents in their area. Please be on the lookout for an email the Wednesday prior to your camp week to help parents connect about carpooling.

We know that there are many choices in camps and summer activities for our youth and we are very excited and honored that you have chosen to spend a week with Evergreen Mountain Bike Camp!

Trail Work Parties

Sure, as long as they’re well behaved and happy to hang out on the trail with a bunch of other people and dogs. In fact, we encourage you to bring your kids out and make a family day of it!

Dirt Camps

Mountain bike camp is a closed learning environment; therefore, anyone not registered as a camper is not allowed to come to camp to ride along. You are free to ride the park yourself during camp hours, but may not join camp. This is to keep all campers’ safe, focused, and engaged.

COVID-19 and Evergreen Programs

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely following guidelines by the CDC, State Government and local jurisdictions. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our community, trail builders, volunteers, students and instructors.

This page will be kept up to date with the latest information regarding programs, events and volunteer opportunity restrictions, schedule changes or cancellation. Specific questions should be directed to the contacts listed in the information below.

Education Programs & Camps:

Clinics and classes will resume based on local county health restrictions. For an up-to-date list of current classes, look HERE. For specific questions, please contact Kristen McCune

  • All Cascades to Sound chapter multi-day Dirt Camps have been cancelled for the summer.
  • Washington State recognizes our education classes as a guided operation. Which means we are allowed to host groups of up to 8 (unique households), not including instructors, as long as we're following social distancing,pre-class health assessment, and PPE guidelines.
  • We are aiming to keep our ratio of instructors to students at 1:4 for adult clinics and 2:5 for youth programs to stay flexible as the trails get busy.

COVID-19 Clinic & Camp Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Evergreen will contact all registered participants if Covid-19 restrictions prevent us from running a scheduled education program. We will offer a re-scheduled class and transfer your registration, if possible. If a re-scheduling option is not available, or not possible for you, you have the option to turn your registration fee into a donation, or receive a refund.

If you choose to remove yourself from a class or camp that is not currently cancelled, our standard refund policy will apply, (REVIEW HERE). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Kristen McCune.

We appreciate your understanding during this challenging time for all of us.

Volunteer Trail Work:

Evergreen work parties are resuming in areas where Phase 2 or higher of Washington's Safe Start Plan is in place and where we have the permission of land managers. We're working behind the scenes to get work parties across the state up and running again. Keep an eye on our calendar for upcoming work parties near you. If you have questions, please contact Bobby Stewart.

For the most part, yes. Classes will be cancelled for severe weather only, such as heavy rain, high wind, or temperatures below freezing. Light rain is fine. If there is rain or stormy weather, please check the website and/or your email the day of the class to see if the class has been cancelled. If your class is cancelled, you can either apply the fee to another class, maintain a credit for future use, or receive a refund.

Membership, Classes

You do not have to be a member to participate in Evergreen MTB classes. Evergreen members receive a substantial discount on all education program classes, clinics, and camps, just one benefit of having a membership. For intermediate to advanced classes, the discount on classes for members equals the cost of an individual membership. So sign up today and get discounts on future classes and much more! You can go here to join!

Trail Work Parties

Nope. Our Trail Crew Leads will be there to teach you the ropes, guide you, and answer any questions.

Membership, Trail Work Parties

No. You just need to be a FREE registered user on our site. Go here to register.

Membership, Donations

No, not automatically because those are on two different systems.  If you'd like to have your donation count towards a membership, please email BryanR@evergreenmtb.org to be added manually.   If you’d like to simply start or renew your membership, please go to our membership page.

No. A rigid frame or hard tail bike is perfectly fine.

To cancel, please notify us at clinics@evergreenmtb.org . If you give us a minimum of 72 hour notice, we can issue a credit or move you to another class. Credits must be used during the same education program year.

Dirt Camps

The best way is to get in touch is via text message to the Camp Lead (number will be provided prior to camp via email). You may also text or call your campers cell phone directly. However, keep in mind that cell phone going off while riding is distracting, and we will have riders silence their phones during drills and trail rides. They will have the opportunity to check their phones during snack, lunch and prior to the end of the day.

If you need to contact all ride attendees, here's how to do it (it's a bit cumbersome at the moment but we're working on a more user-friendly solution).

Please note you must be logged in to perform these steps:

  1. On the event page: highlight and copy (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C on Mac) the attendees' usernames
  2. Click on the "My" button at the top >> Private Messaging
  3. On the Private Messaging screen: click on the Compose link
  4. In the Compose form: click into the "To" window and paste the usernames (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V on Mac)
  5. Add commas between the usernames, e.g.: MtnPavlas, biker1, woodyallen
  6. Type the message
  7. Click on "Send"

Note: If you are NOT the event organizer and want to send a message to all attendees, including the event organizer, you need to copy/paste (or simply type) his/her username into the "To" field as well (you can find it in the event header).

Our instructors will notify you by email. We also post cancellations on our schedule page. Please check the schedule if it is raining the day of class.

Membership, Classes

Memberships created or renewed at events need to be entered into our system manually. So it can take up to a few weeks to get your info into our system. If you’re trying to sign up for a class or receive a member discount, and your membership account is not yet live, please contact us and we can get you set up ASAP.

Membership, Donations

Yes. Evergreen is a 501-3c nonprofit so your donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. If you do not receive confirmation of your donation for tax purposes please contact us.
