Thanks to the joint efforts of the Vashon Mountain Bike Association, Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, King County Parks, and volunteers, the Dockton Forest Trail builders went from breaking ground to biking the new 2.5 mile skill building trail system in less than a year.

Vashon Island Opens New Mountain Bike Trails in King County’s Dockton Forest!
After years of planning and more than 1,500 hours of dedicated volunteer work, Vashon-Maury Island Residents will finally get to celebrate the opening of new Dockton Park mountain bike trails.
The public is encouraged to attend the Grand Opening celebration Saturday, April 22 at 10am, hosted King County Parks, Vashon Island Mountain Bike Association (VMBA), and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance (EvergreenMTB).

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance—the largest single-state mountain bike advocacy nonprofit in the nation, and Washington Student Cycling League—the largest youth cycling organization in the state, announced today they are partnering on a student mentorship program to provide more youth leadership opportunities in Washington state.
The partnership, is a natural fit. With Evergreen focusing on advocacy and education and the League on education and cultivating the next generation of leaders, the collaboration offers a wide range of youth leadership mountain bike opportunities.

Snohomish County is working on a 20-year Master Plan effort for Lord Hill Park—a 1463-acre park located between the communities of Everett, Snohomish, and Monroe. Evergreen‘s draft concept map and proposal creates a bike priority zone and improves the quality of existing trails for a much-improved rider experience—but we need your voice!
