The Colonnade—Evergreen’s first major construction undertaking—started the amazing statewide trail construction and maintenance ride we’re on today. Colonnade proved to land managers that BBTC/Evergreen members were serious about creating riding opportunities for all riders—and its completion lined up projects like Duthie, Tiger, and Raging River. Originally consisting of several challenging trails, the completion of the Colonnade provided an urban ride center for Seattle MTBers. With a place to develop skills that didn’t require a drive to the mountains, colonnade offered a riding option for users who may not have had time or resources to ride elsewhere.

(How to Enter) Funny. Thoughtful. Arty. Adrenaline soaked. Or just plain cool. When it comes to subject matter and style, pretty much anything goes as long as it’s mountain biking related, shot in Washington, and legal. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in both photo and video categories. Make sure to not wait until the last minute to turn in your videos and photos. Due to time constraints, a limited number of videos will be selected to be played during the contest.

Your Mountain Biking Gift to Kids is MATCHED Before Midnight Tomorrow!  You supported an epic 2017 with more riders, more members and more record-setting trail projects. And did you know this year, women outnumbered men in our 2017 skills clinic participation?   That’s a testament to our growing and diversifying sport—and now you’ve also put us within striking distance of our 2017 fundraising goal with just $49,493 left to raise! What do your donations do for the next generation of riders? Your support reduces the mountain bike barriers of the past into bumps for the rolling tires of groups like the Sweetlines Junior Racing Team.

A group of Team Epic donors has contributed a $20,000 MATCH fund to DOUBLE your impact!   We love Washington trails—but we’re biased. So we asked local pros Jill Kintner and Luke Strobel to weigh in on the trails your donations support. “Washington’s trails are unlike anywhere else,” says Olympic mountain biking bronze medalist Jill Kintner. “I’ve ridden around the world, and there're just amazing trails right here, and a great sense of community around them.”

Great partnerships make great trail. The future is bright.  From gutted trails, mountain bike bans, and communication breakdowns in the 1980s and 90’s, Evergreen now helps drive recreation planning across the state.
