Rat Pac Fun

Very fun trail, glad we decided to check it out. We stopped by the bike shop in town before the ride, Roslyn Rides, and the staff there gave us a cool alternative climbing route to the top of Rat Pac. First we headed north out of town, rode a couple miles on a smooth gravel road, crossed the hwy, and then meandered a mix of gravel roads and single track, working from west to east up to the main ridge. This route provided more variety on the way up, but was not as direct and probably took longer than the normal uptrack trail off of Coal Mine trail which is just a gravel road.

The Rat Pac downhill was a fun ride, very dusty and some soft spots, but totally manageable. There were some overgrown spots. The trail actually ended a bit sooner than shown on the map, b/c of construction activity towards the bottom. It appears this reroute isn't added to trailforks yet. Still, not too tricky to figure out especially since the bike shop guys had informed us.
