Hydros and Brews on the Bridge

04 | Oct | '26

Spent some time over in Chelan this weekend so I took the bike over to the Butte to get a morning run down the trail before working on irrigation plumbing on property here. The climb up was fine except for the weeds on the winter traverse still. You can ride through but it is short term annoyance.

Up at the summit, the lake valley was a little hazy from residual smoldering smoke from the fires west and north but it is better than the last 3 months.

The descent was fun and clear but a rake is needed to manage the rocks in the trail about a half mile above the Elephant Head junction. After Elephant Head, I stopped to get a picture of a old heritage hydro running on the lake and chatted with a climbing biker also. A lot of people in town today for the Brews on the Bridge event. Being above it all was wonderful. The Trailforks Activity Log for the ride today is here.
