Beating the Sun and the Heat
This morning, I happened to be in Chelan instead of being in North Bend for the MTB Festival. I got up at sunrise and went up the Chelan Butte for a quick ride and descent. The trail is dry, but in good shape. The log jump at the top could use a little more dirt to make it a smoother/better takeoff. The Trailforks Ride Log and pictures of the moon and sun are here.
Also, last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, three friends and I went to Whistler for three days of riding. The upper mountain is still closed but opening soon and we had a great time on both the Creekside and Fitzsimmons sides of the park. We had some mishaps and some equipment problems but survived or repaired as needed. I linked the ride logs to the days above. It was 52,000 vertical feet of descending over the three days. I also noticed YouTubers Seth from the Berm Peak channel and Alex from the Singletrack Sampler channel riding in a group so maybe they might have new content posted soon! ;-)
