Rosy Sunrise Today
I left the house as soon as I could this morning and got to the ski hill parking area a little before 6am. After gearing up and adding the handlebar light, I began the climb up the NUT under lights to the top of the Boa. I continued the climb up to Ribbed but stopped halfway to take the sunrise photos. There were a couple horizon clouds but it was a beautiful climb. Ribbed was dry and soft in spots but no washouts to worry about today. Today’s worry was trying to keep my speed up when the glare from the new sun was blinding me from seeing the incoming terrain features. It was really fun otherwise. It’s a great trail! I continued down Lower Ribbed for my first time so I was a bit cautious but it was fun too. Braking bumps are going to be your only worry but they aren’t too bad.
Once I completed Ribbed, I climbed back up the canyon to do Rosy Boa. That trail has the beautiful views and a great ridge line challenge and beautiful berms on the descent. Braking bumps are in places but the Boa is a very enjoyable trail!!! I had a great morning. The Trailforks ride log and photos are here.
