Beautiful and without snow

17 | Nov | '18

Started at the Cedar Falls trailhead and took a side trail to get to the iron horse for the 2 mile intro. I did Olallie about a year ago and my command post failed so I could not get all the way to the top comfortably. This time was different. I started the climb and kept going all the way to the base of the Mt Washington summit.  The road ends about 150' vertical short so I threw the bike into the trees and hiked up to the top for the views. Rainier and everything else was visible in the haze and there wasn't any bit of snow, just ocassional raised frost above 3500'. Track and pics here. The ride down was great! It was a far cry from my ride last weekend on Stevens where the convergence zone laid 5" of snow at 4000'.
