This morning, I drove up to the base of Skyline and parked the truck. My goal was to get to the lookout for the views, or find out where the snow line was. During the climb, Whitehorse had just a little cloud condensing over the top which was signaling that the next atmospheric river was coming later tonight. But today it was just one, beautiful, day! I got to the summit, and the lookout, without any snow and the views were awesome. The trails were clear but on the wet side of ideal. Wet leaves and wet roots added the tedious technical challenges and one root caught me good on a Skyline corner just below the Jackpot merger. No injury, just a disappointment.
After finishing Skyline, I went back up to do Lower Skyline one more time to finish the day. It was a good time today. The Trailforks ride log with pictures is here.
