Today near Lake Chelan, I needed a long ride that went somewhere new for me and would also get me to a summit higher than the Chelan Butte or the top of the Outback at Echo Ridge.  I started too late this morning to attempt stuff up near Uno Peak or Angel’s Staircase so starting in Manson, I went up Wapato Lake road and then Upper Joe Creek to dirt roads that got me to the top of Cooper Mountain (5856’). Some of the route was a little brushy but no handlebar grabbers. After making the summit, I followed roads down to the North Trailhead of the Echo Ridge trail system. To continue the descent, I went down Waterbar Heaven and then pavement to Manson for a lunch. The Trailforks ride log and pics are here.
