The Butte is Ready But Could Use a Rake Soon
Today, I was over in Chelan and woke up early to get a good climb and downhill in before the hot sun and my other tasks took over. On the way up, the grasses and flowers were really growing well. Last year’s Stayman Flats fire’s burn scar was almost gone. Just the black toothpick pines were all you could find from the fire. The Butte is mostly green! The trail has some spots of loose rock to rake but I was still able to get my second fastest time even with a stop for a hiking couple. With all the flowers out and the beautiful day today, I uploaded this ride to pink bike to contrast with the ‘all brown’ ride uploaded last November. The link to that is here.
It was a great early morning ride and the Trailforks Ride Log with pictures is here.
