Bambi Bolted

I hadn’t been up to Little Mountain Park in a while so I headed north into the early morning fog and started going around on the lower trails since the views were zero and Parks Department arborists were clearing trees and debris from the summit access road. I did most of the trails above the skills area. Trail conditions were near ideal and it appears a couple berms might have been overshot a couple times. The fun moment today was when I came upon a fawn standing in the runout of a drop on the Pitch N Roll trail. It saw me coming, turned, and bolted away on the trail ahead of me.  The whole event was caught on the GoPro and I posted the run on YouTube here. If you don’t want to watch the full trail, jump to 1:30. It was a neat moment with nature and made my day. The Trailforks Activity Log for the ride today is here.
