Beacon Hill Reseeding

This is a backup date for our first reseeding work party on Nov 7th. If the weather works for the first date, this event might be cancelled. Feel free to sign up for both.

Join us on Nov 14th at Beacon Hill and help us in recovery efforts for the areas of Sekani affected by the fires this past spring. We will be scattering native seed to help kick start vegetation regrowth and reduce soil erosion. No trail building experience is necessary and everyone is encouraged to join us. We need plenty of hands (and feet!) to help walk all of the trails that were affected by the fire.

We'll meet at the Boulder Beach parking lot, the Sekani parking lot is closed while it is under construction. From there we'll distribute supplies and hike up into Sekani.

We're reserving a backup date on Nov 14th in case the weather doesn't allow for reseeding or if we still have areas to reseed after this event. Feel free to sign up for both events.

When: Nov 14th, 9AM to 2PM

Where: Meet at 9AM at the Boulder Beach parking lot. Make sure to not park in the bike lane on Upriver if the lot is full.

What to bring: bring water, food, layers, especially rain layers, gloves, and shoes you are comfortable hiking in.
