Eight to Ten Inches at the Top

Today, in the sun, I took off to Darrington to find out where the snow line is and try to summit,  and then descend Hoot Owl and Skyline. There was about 8 to 10 inches of snow at the upper parking lot so I stopped there and began the descent. Between the upper lot and the top of Jackpot, there are two big chainsaw jobs to take care of for the spring. After the top of Jackpot, the trail was in pretty good shape just a teeny bit of snow to deal with but ideal soil conditions just wet roots. Come enjoy Darrington at your convenience. The Trailforks ride log is here with pictures of the chainsaw jobs.
