Waited for the sun to come out today before I went out to Darrington to check on the Out of the Blue trail status. Last time I was here, I found Jackpot totally trashed, and I was worried those atmospheric rivers and wind wreaked havoc on this trail also.
Today’s descent was a repetitive cycle of 50 yards of riding and then blocking timber to move or cut. I moved what I could but there is plenty of work for the sawyers in Darrington. The Trailforks ride log has a bunch of pictures of the timber down but at least there was no trail damage. It wasn’t too fun today but the drop features were all clear and enjoyable until the next obstacle I came upon. You can see the Trailforks ride log here.
