Near Perfect With a Little Bit of Exit 27

24 | Jan | '26

This morning I met up with a gang of friends at the Raging upper lot. Our plan was to try a couple Exit 27 trails and then another Rattlesnake climb for the views and a run down Canyon Creek Downhill and then climb to finish with Poppin’ Tops and Flow State.

I haven’t done Exit 27 trails for probably 6 years so I was enjoying every second of that tech stuff. The conditions were excellent with some occasional gravelly spots. But if you forgot about the mid 30s temperature, it was a beautiful Summer day!!    IN JANUARY!!!

The gang had a blast, however, I had to repair a pinch flat I got, and one battery on another’s EMTB ran out. So it wasn’t a perfect day but no crashes, and we all had smiles at the end. Come take advantage of these near-perfect, winter, conditions when you can!  The Trailforks ride log and some pictures are here.
