Headed out to Darrington this morning and parked below Skyline to begin the ride. Bambi was on the road just before the trail and we stared at each other for about 10 seconds before she took off. Be aware that hunting season starts soon so make sure you're seen if really getting remote in the forest in the weeks ahead.The hazy skies weren't too bad today and Hoot Owl, Skyline, and Lower Showcase were all in good shape. I took the alternate Lower Showcase path (more direct fall line) for the first time but don't like it as much as the more popular rider's-left branch.
