After the heavy easterly winds cleared out the Lake Chelan Valley yesterday, I took advantage of the clear air and did a quick downhill on the Butte. At the summit, you could see the changing winds blowing Sugarloaf fire smoke towards the Columbia (above) and engulfing Wenatchee (below).

The Butte Downhill trail is a bit dry with some sandy corners but still in good shape. The trail could use a good raking so I might bring one up this fall. Hope you all had a good Summer. Cooler Fall weather is coming! Today’s ride and pictures are here.
