Blackout - Took a friend to the Lord today

01 | Jun | '22

Sing this report to the Scorpions' song  (inspired by OTBs on Snotch and Porcupine Rim on the Whole Enchilada in Moab)

I realized I missed the jump, my body's wrecked like I hit a stump
I look around and see my face, what the hell, I need a neck brace!
Don't want to find out
Just want to pass out!

My head explodes, chest really hurts, I can't remember which tire burst
The last thing, that I recall, I went down that red rock wall
Don't want to find out
Just want to pass out!

Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout

I grab my pride and try to rise, I see my friend look like 20 guys
Would like to know, cuz I must stop, Did I make it or did I flop?
Don't want to find out
Just want to pass out, yeah!

Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
I nearly had a blackout, baby

Don't want to find out
Just want to pass out!

Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout
I nearly had a blackout
Blackout, Blackout
Blackout (oh yeah, oh yeah)
Oh, yeah!

The Whole Enchilada wasn't that bad but it was a challenge in spots. It was my first time in Moab and I'll be back! Did Hazard County down to the river since Burro Pass still had snow. GPS track and Pictures here. I paid for a private tour from Rim Tours and had a great time. I still prefer the PNW trails but the Whole Enchilada was a great change of pace.

--------------

Lord Hill was good. It was a little damp in spots but drained well. The reroute on Thirdeye with fenced 'gate' was a good addition for safety on the return to the top crossing. People won't get sideswiped by flow junkies on a downhill run. I toured a friend here for the first time so I didn't take many pictures today. GPS track here.
