Checking it out

Rode Taylor Mountain on a Tuesday evening. Heading out from the Hwy 18 lot, the Holder Creek trail turns into a goat path, not ridable. Turned back. Went up Holder knob, gets pretty steep. Good traction but muddy areas pretty chewed up by horses. Also lots of horse poop. Beaver pond area was very wet and muddy. Sherwwood is a short but tough climb heading to Elk Ridge. Coming down Elk Ridge was fun, a little wet and technical. But plenty fast. Coming back through Carey Creek , Mt Beaver, Boot, and Holder Knob was fast at times but with plenty of small climbs. Holder knob was a lot of fun on the way back. So overall a little wet and lots of horse damage and poop closer in. Wouldn't be much fun if the horses were on the trail, they weren't. Had the place to my self.
