The Olallie Project: Snow Slows but Doesn't Stop the Evergreen Trail Crew

You wouldn’t know from our trail team, since they’re toiling away in the snow in Issaquah, but progress is moving right along on the Olallie project. And both machines that YOU helped us purchase are running all cyclinders.

While they’ve made significant headway, leaders have actually been forced to turn the upper machine around due to snow (it’s at just under 2400 ft elevation right now), but plan on keeping both machines running through December and into January.

The upper machine will work on trail finishing below the excavator path while the lower machine will keep roughing in trail headed down toward the John Wayne Trail

When the Tiger Mt. Phase 3 and Raging River Phase 1 projects start up in January, Evergreen trail managers will make a call as to whether to drop down to 1 machine at Ollalie and start work elsewhere or keep going with 2.

Regardless, the on-trail crews are working hard to bring you new epic places to ride in 2016 and beyond!
