Today, before the next big dump of snow up high or heavy rain down low, I went back to Darrington to try an upper trail or just do a couple skills park trails. I drove the truck to the lower shuttle lot where 12” of snow still existed. So the upper trails are not available. I drove back down to the Skills Park and took the bike on the Logger and High Grade trails with only up to 1” of dusty snow. The couple inches of snow the night before was sluffing off the trees under the canopy so the ride was a wet, drippy, hassle with snow clumps landing all around me and into my helmet’s vents occasionally. The lower trails were in good shape and just a little frost on the roots. The Trailforks ride log is here.
