Coming 'Round the Mountain

13 | Jul | '22

My full suspension is still recovering from usage in the bike shop so I took the gravel to Darrington and parked at Whitehorse Park. I rode to the skills park and went down Logger before going all the way around North Mountain and returning on SR-530 back to the car. Logger was hero and the road is in good shape.  High clearance vehicles are needed for the northwestern section of this loop. The fun descent during the northeastern section of the loop can be a little dicey or loose for gravel tires so be careful when braking and controlling your speed.  You can encounter vehicles anywhere along this route since the loop has no gates so be cautious when descending. GPS track and pictures are here. Bluegrass Festival is this weekend!
