Fun trail; sandbagged rating

16 | Sep | '15

The occasional light rain made the rocks/roots a little trickier than they probably normally are, but the trail was still basically dry.  Looks like there is some erosion due to horses collapsing the edge of the trail in some of the narrow side-hill parts, but still in good condition overall.

This is a great trail, but I think the Intermediate rating is definitely sandbagged.  Sure, a majority of the trail is Intermediate or below but, even as a solid Advanced rider, I had to walk several long sections.  I'd be extremely impressed by anybody who could ride the long uphill rock gardens!  Compared Kachess Ridge or Preston RR at Tiger, I'd say this definitely deserves an Advanced rating.  If you take your "Intermediate" friends here, they might hate you.
