GOOD NEWS! We have a second Ride Leader and are able to take 16 riders. One of the ride leaders is signed up below, so PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF THERE ARE ALREADY 17 PEOPLE SIGNED UP BELOW. I do have to turn you away on the day of the ride if you are the 18th person as we have to limit groups sizes.

Also, please note, this ride requires you to have the endurance for 2000 feet of climbing, 14 miles and about 4-5 hours of riding (with breaks). There is no quick route back to the car!

Pilchuck Tree Farm Victoria Tract has some fantastic flowy trails, but you gotta work for them. There is a fair bit of climbing – think Tiger to the top climbing endurance – but not technical on the way down = FUN!

Plan to be out riding for 4-5 hours, depending on the pace of the group.  Crank Sisters have a no-drop policy.  We will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.

I will cancel if the air quality index is still above 100. Keep fingers crossed for some wind and rain before Sunday.

While we’re outside in the fresh air, it is important that we take precautions to minimize the risk of spreading Covid. This ride is limited to 8 riders. IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE RIDE, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR SPOT ONLINE AND/OR CONTACT THE RIDE LEADER ASAP SO THAT YOUR SPOT CAN BE OPENED UP FOR SOMEONE ELSE.

In addition, please read the below carefully.

Before coming to the ride (for both ride leaders & participants):

·  Please perform a symptoms self-assessment

o Take your temperature. Do you have a temperature above 100.4?

o Do you have any COVID-related symptoms

o Have you been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

o If you answer yes to any of these questions, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE RIDE

Expectations for riders & leaders:

 ·  Required equipment: You are expected to bring a mask that can cover mouth and nose, any material is acceptable (state guidelines), gloves (your biking gloves are OK), and eye covering (sunglasses, etc are OK). Please note that without this PPE, we will have to ask you to leave the ride.

·  Please bring hand sanitizer to use as needed if touching of a common surface is required

·  You will be asked to wear your mask anytime close contact (less than 6ft) is required for an extended period of time (>5 min), including during any bike checks, times when you're stopped for discussion, or if you come into contact with other trail users.

·  Please bear with us as we try to navigate group rides during a time of social distancing and additional hygiene. It's a learning process for all of us and I appreciate your flexibility and cooperation.

Pack lunch and plenty of water.

PARKING LOCATION: We'll be parking at the lot below the glass school. Directions from I-5: Take exit #215 (300 St. NW), go less than a mile and turn left on English Grade Road, go about 1 mile and turn right on 316th St NW, go about 3/4 mile and take left on 12th Ave NW (gravel road) and look for the parking lot. This lot is shared with horse riders. Please park alongside the road and leave the large lot for horse trailers. We want to keep them happy and welcoming us there!

Because this is private forestland, the Pilchuck Recreation Association requires you to sign a Liability Release (similar to Tokul). This is a separate release from the Evergreen release. You can get a copy in advance, sign and mail it or just drop it off at the parking area. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE A RELEASE FOR 2020, you don't have to do it again. Release at: http://www.pilchuckra.org/About%20Us.htm

Please be on time - we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers.

Ride leaders: Jessica Peterson and Robin Reardon

Ride leader contact info:  Jessica Peterson, 206-999-2316, Jessica@RussAndJessica.com

Conditions for cancellation:  heavy wind, lightning, deep snow.  We ride in the rain and cold!

Sorry guys - this is a ladies-only ride.
