Seabrook New Years Day Ride
Let's roll in the new year with a Mountain Bike Ride!
If you are in Seabrook over New Years, I will host approximately a 12 mile ride on the local logging roads, and if weather permitting will introduce you to "Mike-O-Rama" single track trail with an awesome ocean view. The route is non-technical, rolling terrain, suited for entry level mountain bike riders and above. However, the logging roads and parts of the new trail do have demanding climbs, including one 15% to 20% grade climb (walking the climbs is OK). The ride will take approximately 70-110 minutes, depending on pace and the number of stops.
For entry level riders it is highly recommend to use a multi-speed MOUNTAIN BIKE (no road, cruiser or commuter bikes). Must be comfortable riding gravel roads and a short distant on hwy109. For experience riders, the ride can be done on a single speed mountain bike or CX/Gravel Grinder bike (minimum 32mm tires).
Requirements:
- Be in good health.
- Helmet is mandatory (no exceptions)
- Bike in good working order. No road, cruiser or commuter bikes.
- The ability to maintain a social pace at 8 to 12 mph (regrouping will occur as needed).
- Dress for the weather! (recommend gloves and eye protection).
- Bring water to drink.
