We have suspended all Evergreen community events, education classes, volunteer work parties and in-person meetings through May 31st. This applies statewide across our 8 chapters. If you have signed up for an Evergreen-sponsored event happening during this time, you will be contacted by an administrator.

Good news: You can host a virtual event, and add it to the Evergreen calendar same way as any other event before. Simply log in and hit the New Event button.

CrankSisters Beginner-mediate Ride at Japanese Gulch

01/13/2019, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Evergreen Crank Sisters Beginner-Intermediate Ride at Japanese Gulch, upper trailhead on 19th St, just off Goat Trail Loop Rd. Please look at Google maps before you come. Type in "Japanese Gulch 19th St Neighborhood Trailhead" or in Apple Maps "1199 19th St Mukilteo, WA 98275"

Take WA-525/Mukilteo Speedway to Goat Trail Rd. The road will wind until you come to a 4-way stop sign. GO STRAIGHT thru the stop sign. The road now becomes Goat Trail Loop Rd. Follow this windy, neighborhood road until 19th St. It's a cul-de-sac that has a Trailhead for the upper Japanese Gulch trails. Park in the cul-de-sac.

This is a ladies-only ride. Weather calls for...well, it's January, so anything, but most likely, rainy and cold. But, if you dress for it, the puddles are amazing! :) These trails are on the "flatter, upper section". We will not be going down the steep hillside to ride on the other side of the tracks. There will be some doubling back over trails, keeping in mind they always look and feel different going the reverse. There is enough trails to get a good long ride in and we can session anything. This a decent area to get good at roots. I love these trails and have wanted to host a ride out in my neck of the woods, some come enjoy them with me!

Meet at the parking lot at , at 09:50am.

Please be on time—we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers. We roll out at 10:00am.

If you sign up and decide not to come, PLEASE text me!

Ride leader contact info:  Erin Rajca 517-256-7341

Trails: flowy, some hills, decent amount of rooty bits, probably some stellar mud puddles!

Bring a change of dry clothes, shoes and socks. We can head over to Diamond Knot Brewery for beverages and lunch afterward, for those who can!

Conditions for cancellation:  heavy wind, lightning, deep snow.  We ride in the rain and cold!

If a ride must be cancelled, the ride leader will attempt to notify anyone signed up by 3 pm the day before.

Grunt rating:  Some shortish climbs. Plan to ride for about 2 hours with breaks.

Crank Sisters have a no-drop policy.  We will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.
