Crank Sisters Intermediate Ride - Pilchuck Tree Farm
PLEASE SEE BELOW CHANGE TO PARKING AND TO AFTER RIDE CELEBRATIONS
Pilchuck Tree Farm has some fantastic flowy trails, but you gotta work for them. There is a fair bit of climbing – think Tiger to the top climbing endurance – but not technical on the way down = FUN! We'll be climbing for about 1.5-2 hours, then we'll get some fun downhill and enjoy lunch at the beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Sound. A little bit more climbing then…down down down!
Crank Sisters have a no-drop policy. We will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.
After ride celebration: for those that can stay and celebrate, we'll go to Leatherheads Firehouse in Stanwood for some post-ride refreshments. They have great outdoor seating that can accomodate large groups, and a good beer and food menu.
Logistics:
Pack lunch and plenty of water.
PARKING UPDATE: Because of the small parking area, and the number of riders, we are meeting at the Marysville Park and Ride at 1100 6th St ("Ash Avenue Park and Ride") at 9am and carpooling to the parking area. If you are coming from the North, please text me and I'll see about organizing a North end carpool.
Please be on time - we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers.
Because this is private forestland, the Pilchuck Recreation Association requires you to sign a waiver (similar to Tokul). This is a separate waiver from the Evergreen waiver. You can get a copy in advance, sign and mail it or just sign one at the parking area. Waiver at: http://www.pilchuckra.org/About%20Us.htm
Ride leader contact info: Jessica Peterson, 206-999-2316
