About the Ride

Night riding puts a whole new spin on the good-old trails. Bring your lights (one for your handlebar & one for your helmet, if possible) & we'll pedal around BDOS.

Evergreen's Trail Description: BDOS (Black Diamond Open Space) is east of Hwy 169 & Lake Sawyer, south of Henry's Ridge (separated by the railroad tracks) and north of Summit Ridge. BDOS offers lots of singletrack and variety, but is mostly based around XC. There's a few freeride and downhill trails here and in the nearby Summit Ridge & Henry's Ridge, but by NW Washington standards, BDOS is pretty flat. The only two downhill trails are Fresh Squeezed (a slightly easier intermediate downhill trail) and Crooshal (the slightly more difficult, and more fun intermediate downhill trail). Fresh Squeezed is a loop with a singletrack climb while to access Crooshal you either use the Fresh Squeezed climb and a Connector, or the Powerline Road climb. There's also lots of XC options at BDOS (covered more in the Navigation tab).

Directions

Follow directions to BDOS Parking (left/east side going south): https://maps.app.goo.gl/dXszuRXdo9RmywMN6  Be sure to park outside the gate. (text me if you need more info)

We'll meet at 5:00, then after a quick intro & bike check, we'll hit the trails. Please be on time; we can't wait longer than 10 minutes for late riders to arrive.
