Crank Sisters Intermediate Ride, new trail near North Bend (Olallie)
Crank Sisters Intermediate Ride, Olallie (brand new trail near North Bend/Rattlesnake Lake)
This is a ladies-only ride.
Evergreen has been working hard to build us a new trail, and the first 5 miles is now open--join us as we check it out!
Ride Leader: Rachel Robinson (425-736-2382), probably multiple leaders so we can have fast and slow climbing groups.
If you sign up and decide not to come, PLEASE text me!
Meet at the John Wayne Trail parking lot at Rattlesnake Lake at 10:00 AM (click the link for Olallie to get directions)
Please be on time--we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers.
Grunt rating: We will ride the John Wayne gravel trail for 2.5 miles, then climb for 5.6 miles ( about 2000 feet of vertical), followed by a fun ride downhill. It's a big climb (longer than Tiger), so bring your fitness, but we can take our time and enjoy the views.
Please make sure your bike is in good working order--if you're not sure, have it checked by your bike mechanic.
Bring lots of water and some food. (lunch on Mount Washington!) We may be on the mountain for most of the day.
Bring a spare tube and pump so you can fix a flat tire.
