Evergreen Crank Sisters Beginner-mediate ride, Tiger Mountain

This is a ladies-only ride.

If you're done being a beginner but not quite ready to tackle the black-diamond trails on Tiger Mountain...If you're an intermediate or advanced rider and you'd like to check out the Summit to Preston route...if you don't want to feel any pressure to climb (or descend) fast...this is the ride for you!

We'll be climbing the new ascending trails (Quick Link and Masterlink) then taking the road to East Tiger Summit.  We'll be climbing for at least an hour and a half, so bring your fitness.  Then we'll take the long route down the mountain by riding all of the fun, flowy Summit Trail and the grand old Preston Rail Road Trail, then we'll ride the gravel road to Northwest Timber.  Plan to spend the day on the mountain with a bunch of fun ladies. Bring lots of water and some food.  Knee and elbow armor and flat pedals are recommended.

Meet at the East Tiger Summit upper lot:  enter the Tiger Summit DOT lot off highway 18, then take the left gravel road up to the upper lot.  You need a Discover Pass to park here--I would recommend getting one.  If you don't have one, you can park in the lower (DOT) lot, but it does fill up on weekends, and if the  lot is full, you'll be out of luck.  If you do park in the lower lot, leave time to ride up and meet us by 9:25.

Meeting time is 9:30 AM

Starting time is 9:45.   Please be on time—we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers.   If you sign up and decide not to come, PLEASE text me!

Ride leader contact info:  Rachel Robinson,  425-736-2382

Trails:  Summit, Preston, Northwest Timber. These range from flowy to very bumpy. They're all intermediate (blue) trails, and we'll be stopping to look at technical features before riding them. Sessioning is encouraged.

You can ride these trails on a hardtail or 4" travel bike, but if you have 5 or 6 inches, bring it.

Conditions for cancellation:  heavy wind, lightning, tsunami.  We ride in the rain, cold and heat.

If a ride must be cancelled, the ride leader will attempt to notify anyone signed up by 3 pm the day before.

Grunt rating:  The climb is long (1600 feet over about 4 miles), but we'll be stopping to rest and taking it slow. The climb is mostly in shade.

Crank Sisters have a no-drop policy.  We will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.
