Evergreen Crank Sisters Beginner-mediate Ride at Tiger Mountain

This is a ladies-only ride. If you're no longer a beginner, but you're not ready to ride the black diamond trails on Tiger yet, or if you're an intermediate/advanced rider who likes to hang out with a bunch of fun ladies on the Tiger, this is the ride for you.

Meet at the upper lot at 10am. (Enter the DOT lot off highway 18, go straight ahead onto gravel road and up to upper lot.) You will need a Discover Pass to park here. If you don't have one, you can park in the lower, DOT lot, and ride up to the upper lot to meet us, but make sure you arrive early so you have time to ride up by 10am.

Starting time is 10:15.   Please be on time—we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers.   If you sign up and decide not to come, PLEASE text me!

Ride leader contact info:  Rachel Robinson,  425-736-2382

Trails:  We'll ride up Masterlink and Quick Link, the new climbing trails. We can ride to the Summit, or the road drop-in to the Summit trail. We'll ride Summit Trail, Preston, then out the road to NW Timber. Expect to climb for 1-2 hours, then descend and ride out for another 2 hours.

Conditions for cancellation:  heavy wind, lightning, deep snow.  We ride in the rain and cold!

If a ride must be cancelled, the ride leader will attempt to notify anyone signed up by 3 pm the day before.

Grunt rating:  We start with a long climb, but we can stop and rest often--you don't need to be a fast climber (or descender) to join this ride. Preston is a very rooty, rocky trail with many (very small) rollable drops. This trail rides well on 5-6 inches of suspension. You can ride it on a XC or hardtail bike, but it's a jarring experience.

Crank Sisters have a no-drop policy.  We will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.

Sessioning is encouraged.

Equipment:  knee and elbow armor and flat pedals are encouraged. Bring lots of water and food, and a jacket in case it gets wet and cold (Tiger Mountain sometimes makes its own weather.)
