About the Ride

Skill Level-->Beginner-Mediate

Pace-->Moderate. Frequent regroups (at least at every trail junction)

Crank Sisters are heading back to Capitol Forest! We'll meet and ride the Lost Valley Loop (counter clockwise) (the trails on our route are rated Green on Trailforks), ~10 miles of Capitol Forest goodness!

From the Friends of Capitol Forest website

  • Lost Valley Loop

    A mellow 10-mile loop option out of Fall Creek Trailhead. Recent trail work and re-routes have turned what was once a mud-fest 8 months of the year into a year-round rider. The loop is usually done counter clockwise, which gives a longer, but still gradual climb up to the McKenny Trail that is then rewarded with the ripping descent back to Fall Creek on McKenny.

  • This route is new to me, so we'll be double-checking Trailforks along the way. It's sure to be LOTS of FUN!

    Directions

    Meet at the Fall Creek Trailhead/Day Use Area (NOT the nearby Fall Creek Campground); remember your Discover Pass. We'll meet at 10:00, then hit the trails. Please be on time; we can't wait longer than 10 minutes for late riders to arrive.
