Crank Sisters Intermediate Ride, Tiger Mountain
We will ride for about 2 to 4 hours depending on how many trails the group wants to ride.
Evergreen Crank Sisters Women's Intermediate Ride
This ride if for anyone who identifies as female.
Trails: All trails will be blue unless decided otherwise by the group. Social Interaction and Fun is priorty. This Tiger Mountain ride will be technical steep continuous uphill and downhill trails. NO riders who are not confident in their riding ability in these conditions. Riders need to be have good fitness.
About the Ride: Ride Route (Blue Rated Trails):
There will be three options known:
#1. Shorter Route: We will ride from the upper parking lot to Master Link midway to the Inside Passage junction. From the junction we can ride Inside Passage to Joy Ride to NW Timber to the cars
#2. Semi Shorter Route: . We will ride from the upper parking lot to Master Link to East Summit Trail to ET and take the fireroad to NW Timber to the cars.
#3: Long Route Epic: We will ride from the upper parking lot to Master Linkto East Summit Trail to ET to Inside Passage to Joy Ride to NW Timber back to the Car in the upper parking lot.
DIRECTIONS: This is the parking lot right off of HWY 18. Tiger Mountain East Summit Parking:
Take HWY 18 to the Tiger Mountain East Summit Parking lot and then left up the gravel road to the upper parking lot.
Meet at Tiger Mountain Summit Upper Parking Lot at 12:30 PM by the bathrooms:
Starting time is 12:45 PM. Please be on time--we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers.
Ride leader contact info: Bobbie Howard, Once you are signed up, I will contact you with my information a day before the ride.
Suggested Equipment: 3 liters of water, electrolytes, backpack with some snacks, and spare bike tube
Conditions for cancellation: (heavy wind, lightning, etc.) If a ride must be canceled, the ride leader will attempt to contact anyone signed up by 3pm the day before the ride.
Grunt rating: plan to ride for 3.5 to 4 hours
Crank Sisters have a no-drop policy--we will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.
While we’re outside in the fresh air, it is important that we take precautions to minimize the risk of spreading COVID. This ride is limited to 8 riders. Sorry, but we can't accept "walk-ons". You do need to sign up here before arriving. IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE RIDE, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR SPOT ONLINE AND/OR CONTACT THE RIDE LEADER ASAP SO THAT YOUR SPOT CAN BE OPENED UP FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
Before coming to the ride (for both ride leaders & participants):
· Make sure to fill out our online waiver
· Please perform a symptoms self-assessment
o Take your temperature. Do you have a temperature above 100.4?
o Do you have any COVID-related symptoms?
o Have you been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
o If you answer yes to any of these questions, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE RIDE
Expectations for riders & leaders:
·Required equipment: You are expected to bring a mask that can cover mouth and nose, any material is acceptable (state guidelines) and gloves (your biking gloves are OK). Please note that without this PPE, we will have to ask you to leave the ride
·Please bring hand sanitizer and / or disinfectant wipes to use as needed if touching of a common surface is required
·You will be asked to wear your mask anytime close contact (less than 6ft) is required for an extended period of time (>5 min), including during any bike checks, times when you're stopped for discussion, or if you come into contact with other trail users.
·Please bear with us as we try to navigate group rides during a time of social distancing and additional hygiene. It's a learning process for all of us and I appreciate your flexibility and cooperation.
