Evergreen Crank Sisters Beginner TWILIGHT Ride at St. Edwards State Park/Big Finn Hill Park
Starting time is 4:15pm. Please be on time—we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers. If you sign up and decide not to come, PLEASE text me!
Ride leader contact info:  Doraine Raichart, 208-869-6209
Trails:  These trails are flowy, fun, beginner-friendly, with occasional small roots.

Have you been curious about riding at night? There is a particular kind of magic about riding after dark with a good headlamp. Familiar trails take on a fresh air of excitement! This ride will start while it's daylight and we will continue for a little while in the dark.

Charge up those headlights the day before! If you do not have headlamps for your bike, there are many options online. Look for water-resistant models for our wet PNW weather. In general, the more lumens the better. Ideally, you will eventually want one for your handlebar and one for your helmet. They do not have to be the same, and in fact it can be helpful to have 2 different kinds so you can try them both and see which one you like best. Plus, if one battery dies you'll still have the other one to get you back to the car. New headlamp designs are always coming out, so keep that in mind while you shop.

If you don't currently have at least one headlamp, here are a couple of suggestions:

This is a ladies-only ride.

Meet at QFC on Juanita Drive across the street from Bastyr University at 4 PM.
Conditions for cancellation:  heavy wind, lightning, deep snow.  We ride in the rain and cold!
If a ride must be cancelled, the ride leader will attempt to notify anyone signed up by 3 pm the day before.
Grunt rating:  Some shortish climbs, lots of flowy turns, smooth with occasional small roots. Plan to ride for about 2 hours with breaks. If you need to stop before that, we can drop you off at the parking lot.
Crank Sisters have a no-drop policy.  We will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.
Sessioning is encouraged.  After the ride, we can go hoist one at 192 next to the Burke Gilman Trail in Kenmore.
