About the Ride:
We will be riding an approximate six (6) mile loop. We'll meet at 05:00 PM, then after a quick intro, bike check, and photos of our cool outfits, we'll hit the trails. Please be on time: we can't wait longer than 15 minutes for late riders to arrive.
Skill Level
- Intermediate: Comfortable climbing and descending on blue trails and some easier black trails with minimal hike-a-bike.
Pace
- Social: Comfortable, steady pace that allows for conversation and regrouping as needed.
Evergreen's Trail Description:
Grand Ridge has wider flowy trails with a handful of green/easy blue technical bits here and there in the form of corners or roots, but they are easy to see in advance to either ride around or walk over them. We will cross a couple large wood bridges and there is some gradual climbing with some fun downs.
We'll start from Central Park and pedal past the tennis courts, entering Grand Ridge Park onto Coal Mine Trail. Head east and connect to East Fork Trail, connect with Flowing Fir Loop trail, Spruce Coaster Trail, stay to the right onto Len's Trail, then staying left onto Sam Dog Creek Trail before connecting again to East Fork, Coal Mine, and back to the parking lot. Trail names are per the most recent online King County Grand Ridge park map.
Directions:
1907 NE Park Dr, Issaquah, WA 98029. Meet at the end of the parking lot on the way to the start of the gravel trail.
