New Year's Day Tribute Ride 2026
What to Expect
Please join Evergreen East and friends for a celebration of life group ride on New Year's Day at Riverside State Park (RSP). Formerly known as the Ted Moon Tribute ride, we will ride in honor of him and all of the friends, family, and community that we have lost but will never forget. Let's start the year with joy and remembrance as we pedal through the forest together!
Where to Meet
We will be parking and meeting at the Wilbur Trailhead at RSP. Please be ready to roll at 9:30am! There is more parking nearby at the 7-mile lot. Here is a link to the parking and starting area: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RWB129KUSREU4wKH9
Ride Description
This will be a no-drop ride with some mild elevation. The length will be dependent on trail conditions and rider level. All skill levels are welcome and we will split into groups accordingly. Fat bikes are recommended if there is snow on the ground and will be required if riding on groomed snow.
Important! Please bring your bike in good working condition, a helmet, repair tools/supplies, water or a hot beverage, warm layers, and any protective gear like knee pads if needed.
Please Register and sign the waiver (once per year for adults and every event for minors) here: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5e167c3b53aff/web/
Traditionally January 1st is a Washington State Parks Free Day, when a Discover Pass is not required. A Sno Park Pass is NOT required for RSP. Please look for updates on this event site and on Facebook if this has changed (registered riders will receive an email of any updates).
Cancellation
Trail conditions will be unknown until closer to the ride date. Any event updates will be posted on this event page or communicated through email to registered participants.
Please email event organizer by 7:30 am on the day of the ride, 1/1/26 if you RSVP'D and are unable to attend. Thank you.
