Solstice Ride (Women's)

Women's Evergreen Crank Sisters, Beginner - Intermediate Level Ride . This is a relaxed paced ride and all are welcome. Ride is about 7-10 miles. There will be stops at trail junctions for others to catch up so that no one is left behind.

About the Trails / Ride / Grunt Rating: BDOS is forested pretty single track trails that can be rooty and rocky.  We will be riding green and blue technical ratings.  

• Crank Sisters has a no-drop policy--we will regroup often. 

This ride is limited to 18+ years old unless riding with a parent or guardian.  All riders need to meet the above experience requirements.

E-Bikes:  King County Parks adopts the same position as DNR: You can legally use E-Bikes on trails if you have an ADA place card in your car. Here is the link to trails that allow E-Bikes without needing an ADA card: https://www.evergreenmtb.org/ebikeaccess.

When you click the link, it will tell you whether you have signed this year. If not, it will give you a link to sign it.

• Please cancel your RSVP before the ride time if you can’t make the ride. Text the rider leader Sarah Andrew 360-556-3244 if you have to cancel within two hours of the ride. Please RSVP at least 2 hours before the ride.

Directions: 

Black Diamond Open Space is located two miles north of Black Diamond and 6 miles south of Maple Valley on 169.  We meet in the main parking lot on the east side by the sign, inside the fence from the parking lot and will be ready to ride at 3:00pm.

• Restroom: there is a restroom at the trail head.

Equipment:

• Please bring: extra clothing, if cool, a mountain bike in good working order, helmet, water, backpack with some snacks, and spare bike tube.  

Conditions for cancellation: (heavy wind, lightning, heavy raiin etc.) If a ride must be canceled, the ride leader will attempt to contact anyone signed up by 3pm the day before the ride.
