Vashon Island Grand Opening

After years of dreaming, lots of planning, and more than 1,500 hours of volunteer work, three miles of new mountain bike trails are now open for the public’s enjoyment at King County’s Dockton Forest on Vashon-Maury Island. Stop by to check out these new flow trails that are fun for the whole family! 

When: Saturday, April 22nd, 10-2pm 

Where: Celebration takes place in the clearing off SW 260th St. Parking is available in the main lot across from Dockton Park or shoulder parking along SW 260th. 

What: Evergreen and Vashon Mountain Bike Alliance will be BBQing and taking laps on the brand new Vashon Trails complete with a free BBQ Lunch at noon! 

Who: YOU! Come join us for a BBQ, some laps at Vashon, and hang out with the Evergreen and VMBA. 

So come by, get a few laps in, enjoy some BBQ, and hear a little bit from Evergreen and VMBA on what the building of this trail was like—and what may be on tap for the future.
