(4/16 work party location changed from Twisp River to Sun Mountain due to snow)

Come join us to get our Sun Mountain trails reopened!

After a tough summer in 2021, many of the Sun Mountain trails were affected by the Cedar Creek Fire.  We need your help to bring these trails back to a safe and rideable condition.

We’ll meet at the Chickadee Trailhead at 9AM on Saturday April 16th.

We'll be working on Wild Turkey, Lower Pete's Dragon and Lower Climate Change trails. It was affected by fire but not as badly as other nearby trails. There's lots of debris to clear off the trail and some jumps and berms to tune up.

We're hoping to open Wild Turkey as soon as conditions allow, your help will make this happen sooner!

We plan to work until 2pm or so. Feel free to take off before then if needed but please do not be late for the 9am start time. Showing up at least 10 minutes early is ideal.

We will be breaking into groups and working on different trails at Sun Mountain. More detailed trail work plans will be added as we get closer to the work party.

If you have a leaf rake, loppers or a handsaw, please bring them along! We have some but may not have enough for everyone.

We will provide all other necessary trail work tools.

What you need to bring:

-Sturdy Shoes (boots are preferred)

-Water and snacks

-Small-Medium Backpack

-Work gloves

-Long pants and sleeves

-Leaf Rake/loppers/hand saw if you have them

If you have a current USFS Chainsaw certification, feel free to bring a saw and all necessary PPE to help clear the trail of any winter downfall.

If you do not have a USFS Chainsaw Certification, please leave the saw at home.

If you plan to attend, please register below so we have an idea of how many tools we will need to provide.
