Goat Creek and Beyond

CANCELLED DUE TO BLOW DOWN ON TRAIL...SORRY, WE WILL RESCHEDULE THIS ONE LATER IN JULY...Ever ridden behind a waterfall? Want to? (of course you do) Join me as we ride the Goat Creek Trail down in the Gifford Pinchot Forest south of Morton which is south of Mt. Rainier. Not only do we get to ride behind a waterfall, but we also get to ride and hike-a-bike our way up to Vanson Peak and the Goat Mtn ridge where we are rewarded with killer views of Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens. This ride blew us all away last year, and it truly is a hidden secret which only a hand full of mtn. bikers know about. Amazing views, waterfalls, old growth forests…where else do you get the chance to experience this? 

The pace and skill level is rated at strong intermediate. You should be comfortable with descending OTG at Tiger Mtn and descending trails with some rocks. We’ll hit up a Mexican Food Restaurant in Morton after the ride. Some of us will be camping at Mossy Rock Friday night, and everyone is welcome to join us. Or meet us at the Mexican Restaurant parking lot in Morton at 9:30 (NW corner of H12 and H7).  We can set up a car pool meeting site if folks want to.
