Crank Sisters Beginner-Mediate Ride at BDOS (Black Diamond)

This ride is for anyone who identifies as female

Beginner-Mediate ride for women who are new-ish to riding, or who want to get back into it. Our pace will be mellow, with a warm-up on green & then onto blue trails with time for coaching and regrouping. I've ridden here a few times, so will be consulting good-old Trail Forks to keep us on-track. Weather forecast says it will be a regular WA winter day....maybe a little cold and maybe a little wet, so please dress in layers. You might want to bring a raincoat, a buff & an extra pair of gloves (or two) in your pack.

Trails: I've got a nice 8-mile loop planned, similar to last week, starting on a green then riding mostly blues, likely ~2 hours. We will stop for breaks and to regroup as needed. We'll be riding at a Beginner-Mediate pace, and will be checking Trail Forks along the way. Check the Evergreen link below & Trail Forks for more info about the area. If you have questions or concerns, text me anytime to touch base.

Meet at the BDOS (Black Diamond Open Space) parking lot (East side of Highway 169) at 9:00 am.
There are two parking lots near BDOS. If you're heading South on HIghway 169, it will be the 2nd parking lot, the one on the East (left) side.
Please be on time--we cannot wait more than 10 minutes for late arrivers. If you decide not to come, please text me

Ride leader contact info: Katherine Meyer (206) 849-7699

Crank Sisters has a no-drop policy. We will regroup often and adjust the pace based on riders' preference.

Please bring a helmet, snack, water, tools, pump/CO2, and a tube that fits your bike, so you can repair a flat tire. Knee & elbow pads are optional

Due to COVID, this ride is limited to 8 participants
Proposed trails to ride are subject to change based on weather, trail conditions, etc
Conditions for cancellation: heavy wind, lightning, deep snow. We ride in the rain and cold! If a ride must be cancelled, the ride leader will attempt to notify anyone signed up by 3 pm the day before
