December Trail Highlight: Rat Pac

**Rat Pac is currently under 2' of snow. Enjoy another ride this month (and we hope you do)!**

On the dry side of the state is a trail boasting a fast, swoopy ride with plenty of features (and a few “pucker-inducing” ones) for advanced riders. And for west-side riders coming to grips with the rainy season—this trail is just 90 minutes from Seattle, just outside of Roslyn. Meet our December Trail Highlight: Rat Pac.

Incredibly popular (for good reason) with the locals who maintain it, Rat Pac recently received a reroute to bike-friendly private land thanks to support from the Nature Conservancy and a large private landowner, as well as over 200 hours of volunteer labor coordinated by Evergreen Kittitas and Kittitas Parks and Recreation District #1

But Rat Pac isn’t just an example of great collaborative thinking by the MTB community and local landowners—it’s a great example of fantastic riding. Fun and flowy for riders interested in a quick lap and challenging and technical for those seeking a thrill, this ride offers the options of skinnies, ladders, and gravity drops, Rat Pac has a little something for every rider.

The ride can be accessed from Roslyn/Cle Elum using the logging road, though riders often opt for the longer option of mostly singletrack, both leading to great ride from slickrock on the top of Roslyn Ridge, overlooking the Teanaway Valley.

Evergreen's Novemer/December Trail Highlight is Rat Pac!
