Evergreen Crank Sisters Intermediate Level Ride Co-Ed. This is a faster pace ride and not for beginners. Ride is about 10 miles. Bring two charged lights.

About the Trails / Ride / Grunt Rating: Big Finn/Saint Edwards is forested pretty single track trails that are mostly rooty spicy green/easier blue technical ratings.  Also there are some single black technical and steep trails to ride if the group wants to ride a few single blacks. 

  • Crank Sisters has a no-drop policy--we will regroup often. 

This ride is limited to 18+ years old unless riding with a parent or guardian.  All riders need to meet the above experience requirements.

E-Bikes:  King County Parks adopts the same position as DNR: You can legally use E-Bikes on trails if you have an ADA place card in your car. Here is the link to trails that allow E-Bikes without needing an ADA card: https://www.evergreenmtb.org/ebikeaccess

  • Please cancel your RSVP before the ride time if you can’t make the ride. Text the rider leader Bobbie Howard: 425-219-3110 if you have to cancel within two hours of the ride.Please RSVP at least 2 hours before the ride.

Directions

Henry David Thoreau Elementary School, 8224 NE 138th St, Kirkland, WA 98034.  Park your car in the parking facing the forest. We are parking here because it will be dark and parking at the Lacrosse/Ball Fields maybe gated at dusk.

  • Restroom: there is a restroom at Big Finn lacrosse field just a 2 minute ride from the parking at Henry David Thoreau Elementary School.

Equipment:

  • Please bring: Two charged lights, rain jacket, a mountain bike in good working order, helmet, 1 liter of water, electrolytes, backpack with some snacks, and spare bike tube.  

Conditions for cancellation: (heavy wind, lightning, flooding etc.) If a ride must be canceled, the ride leader will attempt to contact anyone signed up by 3pm the day before the ride.
