SW Dirt Skirts MTB Weekend

Evergreen MTB Alliance Dirt Skirts (SW Washington) is hosting a Ladies Only MTB weekend in Government Camp on Mt. Hood on Saturday September 22nd, and Sunday September 23rd. Rides will be Intermediate. Skill level definitions can be found at http://nw-trail.org/resources/skill-levels/

 

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 22nd

• For those interested, we will meet for the Evergreen SW Dirt Skirts "T2T" group ride. This is a separately planned event with its own registration. See details at https://www.evergreenmtb.org/calendar/eventdetail/4662/evergreen-sw-dirt-skirts-intermediate-group-ride-timberline-to-town-shuttle
• Group arrangements have been made to provide optional bunk (bring your own bedding) accomodation at the Cascade Ski Club in Government Camp on the 22nd for $21 in Government Camp. Pre-arrangements are required - see Contact Information below.  Bring a check or cash for $21 payable to Cascade Ski Club. If you arrive early, knock on the door or call the club manager at (503) 272-9204 or (971)-275-6878, and let him know you are with the Dirt Skirts MTB group. • For those who would like to make their own accomodation arrangements, there is nearby camping and hotels available in Government Camp.
• No meals are provided. There are multiple dining options in Government Camp. The lodge does not have available cooking facilities. However, it does have a microwave and refridgerator.

 

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 23rd

• For those interested, there is an Intermediate ride planned for Sunday. Details are at https://www.evergreenmtb.org/calendar/eventdetail/4683/evergreen-sw-dirt-skirts-surveyor-s-dog-intermediate-group-ride. We will depart Government Camp to drive to the ride at 8:30AM. 
• No meals are provided. There are multiple dining options (including sandwiches to go) in Government Camp. The lodge does not have cooking facilities. However, it does have a microwave and refridgerator.

 

THINGS TO BRING

• Mountain bike with knobby tires
• Helmet
• Water
• Plan for food for Saturday and Sunday (restaurant options are available in Government Camp)
• Pillow and sleeping bag (for those staying in the Lodge) and any other overnight items such as PJs that you desire
• Ear plugs for dorm sleeping
• Knee/Elbow pads
• Spare tube
• Pump
• Tire levers
• Clothing layers for riding
• Rain jacket
• Sunscreen
• Bug spray
