Join Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the Grand Opening of the Teanaway Trail System in the Teanaway Community Forest.

This project has been in the works since 2014 when Washington State acquired the land that is now the Teanaway Community Forest. Evergreen has been involved with the creation of the Management Plan, the Recreation Plan, and since 2020 a Member of the West Fork Trail Coalition (along with WTA, Mountains to Sound Greenway and Backcountry Horsemen of Washington) working with DNR to create and implement a phased trail plan that envisions a 55 mile multi-use trail system in the Teanaway.

In Phase 1 starting in 2022, coalition members created the Upper BST Trail (Evergreen Kittitas Chapter), a new climbing trail for Lower BST (Evergreen Kittitas Chapter), the Frog Pond loop (WTA) and the Cheese Rock Trail (Mountains to Sound). DNR has built a new parking area with restrooms, installed a bike repair station and kiosks and signs with trail information. All the Phase 1 trails are now signed.

Phase 2 is underway with our Evergreen Kittitas Chapter building the Windy Ridge trail (with help from other Coalition Partners) and WTA/MTSG working on the Aspen Grove loop.

We hope you can join us to celebrate this milestone that we have all worked so hard to achieve!
