Mark your calendars: Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day is back on Saturday, October 4, 2025!
Created by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) in 2004 and even recognized by the U.S. Congress, this annual event is all about sharing the joy of mountain biking with the next generation.
Whether your kid is a seasoned rider or trying mountain biking for the very first time, Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day offers a safe, welcoming, and fun environment to ride, play, and make memories.
These events are free to the public, but donations are encouraged to support Evergreen’s trail work statewide.
Where to Ride
Evergreen coaches and volunteers will be leading rides and activities at three locations across Washington. Find the event nearest you:
Duthie Hill Park – Issaquah (Cascades to Sound Chapter)
Join us at Duthie Hill for trails ranging from beginner to expert. Activities include:
- Dual Slalom racing hosted by Bigfoot BMX
- Timed pump track laps with Sweetlines Racing
- Friendly competitions
- Free kids’ MTB classes
- BIG raffle with 10 kids bikes on the line!
Ski Hill – Leavenworth (Central Chapter)
Celebrate at Ski Hill in the Cascade Mountains with all day festivities.

Camp Sekani / Beacon Hill – Spokane (Eastern Chapter)
Ride with us at Camp Sekani for a full day of activities geared toward any level.
