Leavenworth Ski Hill Storm Recovery: Spring 2026
The historic December windstorm that tore through Leavenworth left a big mark on the Ski Hill trail system. We're talking hundreds of downed and uprooted trees, huge root balls, blocked corridors, and damaged tread across the network. It's a big lift to bring it all back, with an estimated $20,000 in restoration project costs.
The good news is we've already made tons of progress! With a lower-than-average snowpack this year, our builders got an early start on the work out there.
Huge thanks to our trail builders and the volunteers who have been putting in long days to log out and repair the trails. Rosy Boa was first, now fully cleared and reopened. Work is underway on Ribbed, and Freund is up next. The snow melt is making challenging conditions, so we'll need a bit more time for things to dry out.
The support from this community has been incredible. Spring Stoke Night at Icicle Brewing Company was our Central Chapter's first event of the season on March 18th, and so many people showed up to support!
Icicle Brewing donated 25% of the night’s beer sales AND surprised us with an additional $10,000 donation. THANK YOU, ICICLE BREWING!

Another big thank you to Eastside Cycleworks, TREAD, and everyone who showed up in support.
We are making great progress toward full restoration of the trails. Stay tuned for updates as we work to rehab our local trails in the Central Chapter.
