Ride United is Evergreen’s initiative to create space for riders in the BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+,seen and unseen disabilities, and historically marginalized community. Ride United group rides are set up to provide a ride that is led by and designed for them. These are social pace, no drop group rides; intentionally designed to be shorter rides with plenty of stops on the climb and descent trails, with a priority on having fun and meeting others. Anyone who self-identifies under the “Ride United” umbrella is welcome on these rides, no one will be turned away.

If you haven't yet, grab your pass to the Evergreen MTB Festival to join us for these group rides, demo bikes and much more!

What ride is right for me?

    • 2024-05-30-mikemanuel_swan_113-001.jpgBeginner Group -
      • You Can Execute:
        • Controlled braking and balance while descending down a singletrack trails
        • Can get over small rocks, roots and obstacles…but you need the skills to understand how.
      • The ride will be ~3mi and 600ft of climbing and take about 1-1.5 hours
    • Intermediate Group -
      • Mountain Biking is starting to become your “thing”. You are getting the hang of shifting, pedalling or cranking through more technical features, making it up shorter climbs and getting a bit more rowdy going downhill.
      • You Can Execute:
        • Controlled braking at faster speeds
        • Confidence rolling over obstacles that do not require wheels leaving the ground
        • Wider switchbacks and turns that aren’t too steep
      • The ride will be ~5mi and 900ft of climbing and take about 1.5-2 hours
    • Please note that all Ride United rides will be suitable for 2, 3 and 4 wheeled standard and adaptive bikes (e-assist recommended for adaptive bikes). Some shuttle spaces will be available for aMTBs on the 10am rides.

Ride United group rides in partnership with: Whistler Adaptive Sports Program , Outdoors for All Foundation , The AIROW Project: Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation of Whatcom County , Bowhead Corp , Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association - PMBIA
